President Jeffrey Staats.jpeg

Jeff has been involved in marketing in the Cleveland area for over 10 years, since graduating from Baldwin-Wallace College.  He has worked in the brokerage, insurance, banking, and now, the telecommunications industry, currently as the Marketing Manager for Cox Communications.  He also earned an MBA in Marketing Management from John Carroll University in 2005 and has been actively using it while developing marketing strategy, direct marketing and loyalty programs in his current position.  Jeff became a member of AMA in 2008 and worked ‘behind the scenes’ in Sponsorship until becoming Director in July 2010.

REASON FOR JOINING:  The ‘new’ path to career development is all about networking to get a pulse on the local economic landscape, stay ahead of the curve on new marketing trends and expand my marketing knowledge.  I can’t think of another professional organization that does it better for marketing in Cleveland than AMA.

REASON FOR VOLUNTEERING: It is extremely important to give back in any facet when you can. I have had a pretty interesting marketing career and it was important for me to share my knowledge, pitfalls and wins with my colleagues.  This organization provides fantastic benefits to marketers from rookie to experienced so it’s important that I do what I can to keep it going.

FUN FACTS:  Jeff is a professional photographer (SpinVista Photography) specializing in black and white and landscapes.  He also enjoys Notre Dame football, working out, golf, tennis and fighting crime.  He currently lives in University Heights with his wife, Bethany, and two sons (ages 2 and 3 mos).
